This delightful little Prince, I must tell you, was really not such a princely affair! I started the block with the idea of making a volcano. While rough shaping, I sanded into a fissure on the shank. This fissure unfortunately went 3/4 of the way through and the shank eventually broke. It lay on my bench for about 2 months while I toyed with shank extensions, but none worked out the way I wanted. So, in the end, I went for a totally new shape. I proudly present to you the Royal Ass!
